US removes Swiss national & Turkish company from Russia list; Mexican national from narcotics list

The US has removed Hans-Peter Bomatter and Turkish company Modulsan Makina Kesici Takim ve Disli Sanayi Ticaret Limited Sirketi from its EO 14024 Russia sanctions list. Jose Raul Vega Sanchez has been removed from the US counternarcotics sanctions regime under the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act.

• Mr Bomatter was designated in 2023 for being a senior manager of Tamyna AG. Tamyna remains US-sanctioned for being part of a US sanctions evasion network.

• Modulsan was designated in 2023 for exporting tool cutting parts to a company operating in the Russian manufacturing sector.

• Mr Vega Sanchez was designated in 2008 for being part of a network linked to the Sinaloa cartel.

The US did not provide reasons for delisting them.
