US renews Lukoil International general licence until 19 September 2026

Billion Photos/Shutterstock.comThe US has issued General Licence 131I, to allow transactions related to the negotiations of contracts for the sale or transfer of Lukoil International GmbH (LIG) to continue until 19 September 2026. GL 131I replaces GL 131H, which had been due to expire on 22 August 2026.
The GL authorises all transactions that are ordinarily incident and necessary to the negotiation of and entry into contracts with Lukoil for the sale, disposition, or transfer of LIG, if the performance of the contract is made expressly contingent on the receipt of separate authorisation from OFAC. FAQs 1224 and 1225, which provide further information on the sale of LIG, have been updated to reflect GL 131I.
