The US has delisted people listed under EO 13936 following its expiry. The EO declared a national emergency in Hong Kong in 2020 and was last renewed in July 2025. It expired on 14 July 2026 and has not been renewed by President Trump.

The Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019 (HKHRDA) and the Hong Kong Autonomy Act (HKAA) of 2020 remain in effect. Those sanctioned under these acts have been added to OFAC’s Non-SDN Menu-Based Sanctions List.
