BlackMac/Shutterstock.comThe US has added 2 people and 1 entity to its EO 13694 cyber sanctions list – press release.
- VPN network 1VPNS has been designated for selling VPN services to ransomware actors and other cybercriminals whose attacks have targeted US businesses, hospitals and municipal governments. The designation follows a May 2026 takedown of 1VPNS's infrastructure by European law enforcement, supported by the FBI, which has published an advisory on 1VPNS's activities.
- Dmytro Rashevskyi, 1VPNS administrator, is also listed.
- Yegeniy Vladimirovich Silayev has been listed for selling “cryptors” – tools which are used to disguise ransomware and other malware as safe programmes to prevent security systems from detecting or deactivating them.
The designations were coordinated with the UK, which added 13 people and 1 entity to its cyber sanctions list on 13 July 2026. See our cyber sanctions regime pages for more information on all US, UK and EU cyber sanctions designations.
