US delists 4 from narcotics sanctions list & 3 vessels from Russia sanctions listJim Lambert/Shutterstock.com

The US has removed four individuals and one entity previously designated under its narcotics trafficking sanctions regime (SDNTK) and three vessels previously listed under its Russia harmful foreign activities sanctions programme (EO 14024).

  • Brothers Luis and Esteban Rodriguez Olivera have been delisted. They were listed under the narcotics regime in 2011 for being linked to the Sinaloa Cartel.
  • Hector Mario Urdinola Alvarez was also removed from the narcotics list. He was listed in 2014 for being a part of the Los Urabeños/Clan del Golfo. Joyeria Manuella HM, also linked to Clan del Golfo, has been delisted.
  • 3 Russian ships – Fesco Moneron, Fesco Madegan, and SV Nikolay – have been removed from the EO 14024 Russia list.

The US did not provide reasons for delisting.
