Swedish police have arrested two people in “senior positions” on suspicion of breaching EU sanctions on Russia in Sweden. Swedish authorities have not commented on the alleged breaches and has said the investigation is in its preliminary stages. Aggravated breaches EU sanctions in Sweden are punishable by up to six years imprisonment under Sweden’s 2025 Sanctions Act.
