The speakers for the motion tonight are:
- Rebecca Harding, an economist & author on global trade, finance, sustainability & geopolitics; and
- Ian Proud, former British diplomat in Moscow involved in sanctions on Russia 2019 - 2022.
The speakers against the motion tonight are:
- Edward Lucas, columnist at The Times and an expert on energy, cybersecurity, espionage, information warfare and Russian foreign and security policy; and
- Tom Keatinge, founding direction of the Centre for Finance and Security at the Royal United Services Institute.
The debate will be chaired by Anne McElvoy, journalist, broadcaster, & Executive Editor of POLITICO.
