According to local media reports, the Schwerin public prosecutor’s office is investigating a German citizen for importing a package worth around €27 into the EU from Russia in breach of EU sanctions law.

The package is said to have contained soap, a ‘wooden decorative object’, and a CD. The import of all these goods into the EU from Russia is prohibited by Article 3i of Regulation (EU) 833/2014.
