UK publishes data on export control licenses to Israel

The UK export control authority (ECJU) has published data on UK Israel export control licensing – up to 31 July 2025. See our coverage of the ECJU’s December update for the previous set of statistics. The latest data shows that as of 31 July 2025:
- 347 export licences from the UK to Israel are currently active (down from 352 licences active as at December 2024). Of these, 167 are for military exports, and 180 for non-military purposes. Of the military export licences, 84 do not list Israel as the end-user country, meaning the items will be re-exported out of Israel. 21 licences were for the export to Israel of items for commercial companies. 7 licences were for military grade equipment for academic or civilian purposes. 55 licences, including parts for trainer aircraft, missile defence systems, or components for submarines, were licenced with the Government of Israel as the ultimate or potential end-user.
- 164 licence applications are currently being processed.
- 107 licence applications were approved in the period 7 December 2024 to 31 July 2025 and 28 were rejected. Of the 107 approved applications, 45 were for licences to re-export to third countries, 7 covered items for academia or commercial testing, and 21 covered the export of military items to the Government of Israel. Most of the rejected applications were of a military categorisation. Licence applications will only be approved where they meet the conditions set out in the Strategic Export Licensing Criteria, set out in the Written Ministerial Statement (UIN HCWS449).
